Love That Griddle
This is the second Calphalon product we have owned (mother-in-law gave us the wok for Christmas). This one stays true to the Calphalon name and tradition. The quality is quite evident. It heats evenly and is very easy to clean. The handle is not too close to the griddle itself, making quick saves painless. Given our success rate with Calphalon cookware, we will purchase more in the future.

This is a great griddle. It is very versatile, distributes heat evenly, cleans up easilyl, and helps me make everything from pancakes to eggs to anything else. It also happens to be my ideal pan for making perfect dosas (South indian rice crepes). Even thin masala dosa is easy. And that metal handle...it stays cool!
Wonderful, nearly perfect griddle!
Owning Calphalon commerical nonstick cookware has been a new experience for me, with a total of 3 pieces now, including this griddle. All have been wonderful! Heats evenly, foods seem to cook more quickly, never sticks, and the clean up is a breeze!! This griddle has a nice (but somewhat hefty) weight, and a larger cooking area than my old griddle, due to the Calphalon having square corners vs. rounded ones with previous griddle (which took away from the overall useable space).
On the other hand, my older griddle had a deeper cooking area due to its larger surrounding edge, which would allow me to cook foods producing liquids; I could even make gravy in the old griddle. With this Calphalon griddle there is only 1/4" from cooking surface to edge, but this is fine for sandwiches, pancakes, eggs, etc.
The only slight disadvantage I've found with this griddle is that I'm unable to store it conveniently in my oven. I cannot close the oven door when placing the griddle...
